CHEEZED stands at the forefront of Canada’s quick-service, comfort food industry. Founded by Nick Kardos, Dan Kardos and Justin Beraldo in 2021 in The Blue Mountains, Ontario, CHEEZED delights customers with the highest quality unique grilled cheese sandwiches served in a modern and contemporary setting. Your entire investment for a delivery & carry-out (DelCo), single territory franchise business starts at $295k all-in, including: franchise fee, all initial equipment, build-out costs, insurance, initial working capital, opening inventory, grand opening marketing budget, comprehensive training and a lot more. Our larger fast-casual model, with dedicated in-store seating and larger footprint, averages $460k.

Our on-going fees are very competitive including a 6% franchise royalty fee payable every month and based on the previous months’  sales revenue, together with 2% co-operative advertising fees.

CHEEZED is interested in partnering with individuals or groups who possess a high level of integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional customer service skills, a strong work ethic and believe in the strength of inclusivity and diversity. Previous retail, food, hospitality or quick service restaurant experience would be very beneficial. You may already own your own business, perhaps you are a budding entrepreneur, or maybe you are ready to make a move into being your own boss. Ideally, to be considered for a CHEEZED franchise you will need:

  • Net Worth: Ideally at least $350,000
  • Liquid Assets (Cash): Ideally at least $75,000
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Good credit record and no criminal record
  • Passion for customer service and excellence
  • Ideally retail or business management experience


  1. Completion of the franchise application form with required information
  2. Initial telephone interview with a representative of CHEEZED to outline our concept
  3. Face-to-face or online meetings with CHEEZED executives and receipt of franchise disclosure document
  4. Prospective franchisee performs due diligence and researches the CHEEZED brand
  5. Optional Discovery Day – Meet members of the CHEEZED Executive Team and learn if our business philosophies align
  6. Preparation by the prospective franchisee of basic business plan (if required) and time to make a decision
  7. Finalization, approval of location and mapping of territory
  8. Submit signed franchise agreement
  9. Payment of franchise fees
  10. Lease is signed and construction begins
  11. Training begins
  12. Grand Opening!
